Balaji Temple starts all its activities from “Suprabhatam” at morning 3’oclock and end with “Enkata seva” at 1 in night. Suprabhatam is when lord rises and Enkata seva is when lord is put to sleep. Tirupati Temple has periodical Sevas and Utsavams to Lord Venkateswara. Every day is celebrated in Tirupati Temple. Brahmotsavam festival is celebrated on large scale for continuous nine days at Tirupati Balaji Temple. Fifth and ninth day of the festival is significant as Rathotavam and Garudostavam takes place at Tirupati Balaji Temple. Goddess Laksmi and Padmavati also reside on the chest of Balaji in the Balaji Temple.
Balaji Temple has an organized way to visit the Dwara of Lord Balaji. Tirupati Temple has set a queue system. For Dharm Darshan you have to wait for 10 hours in the queue. Second Darshan is Sudarshanam which takes about three hours to reach. There are special queues for kids and senior citizens. There are hall made in Tirupati Balaji Temple where people waiting in the queue are served free food and tea or coffee in every two to three hours. You have to stand for 60-90 minutes for entering the actual doors of Balaji Temple, where you can pay homage to the idol of Lord Balaji. It is only believe that give devotees the patience to stand for long in queues of Tirupati Temple. Many devotees in Balaji Temple have their head tonsured. The largest donation made to Tirupati Balaji Temple is 1100 crore rupees.
