The Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam has got new set of Tirupati rules. TTD has made certain rules that were mandatory to be followed by all the people.

• If anyone, who is interested in participating in various rituals and ceremonies, then you will be required to wear the traditional dress.
• Pilgrims will not be required to take water bottles inside of Tirupati Temple. It is one of the most important Tirupati rules to wear the Traditional dress while you are participating in any of the ritual of Tirupati.
• According to the Executive officer of Tirupati Temple, Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam are uncomfortable with devotees who are lining up for Darshan and wearing the short and tight dresses such as Jeans and other modern wear dresses.
• According to the Tirupati rules and regulation, you will be required to wear the traditional dresses.

• For men- it is formal trousers and shirts. They should not be wearing fancy trousers. For women- they have to wear saris and Chudidars.
• The main reason behind bringing this rule was that people who used to wear the western dresses were acting as the distraction for pilgrims and for other people who were involved into the Sevas.
• There were certain measures adopted by the TTD committee in order to ensure that one carries the water bottles inside the temples.
• People used to throw the water bottles over here and there and this used to give a very ugly look of the temple. It is mandatory to keep the temple surroundings clean.

• The senior officials of Tirupati temple have clarified this fact that the carrying of water bottles is also considered with the security reasons.
• There has a fear of terrorists that if they throw the liquid bombs, then lives of million people can be in danger as it is one of the places on earth where you will find people in millions.
• Devotees were not allowed to carry the water bottles only in Temple.
• They are allowed to carry the water bottles at pedestrian routes, ghat roads and over the hills.
• It is the duty of the officials of Tirupati temple to provide you with the water in the prohibited zone. This is also inclusive of Vaikuntam Queue complex.
